Medication Therapy Management: What to Expect
What can I expect from the visit?
A 1-on-1 phone call with a pharmacist, where we have up to 30 minutes to:
- Go over all your medications, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and supplements
- Check for lower-cost medication options that could help you save money — and make sure you’re making the most of your plan’s prescription-related benefits
- Answer any questions you may have about side effects and how the drugs you take impact each other
After your visit, we’ll send a written summary of your review to share with your doctors, pharmacists, and family or caregivers.
How can I get ready for my visit?
- Have all your medications with you, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and supplements (remember to include any injections, inhalers, or medicated creams you use)
- Write down any questions you have about your medications
- Decide if you want anyone to join you for the call — like a family member, friend, or someone else who helps with your medications
